while i was at work my wife packed up and left with my kids. we've been having issues and decided to separate and divorce after the school year was over for the kids which is in June. We have 4 kids and we agreed that the boys would remain with me. This is the second time in 3 months that she has done this. I don't understand how a mother can create so much instability for her children without good cause. I'm not a saint I will admit that but I have never abused her so I'm not understanding her need to flee and abandon the household especially when we have already decided to separate once the kids were finished with school. Can she take my kids like this? Is there anything I can do to make her bring my kids back to me? She will not even tell me where she is taking them. Three months ago she fleed to CT and we live in GA. I have not a clue of what her intentions are but I just want my kids back. Any advice???

Get legal advice quick...based upon her poor and unstable track record you should have a very good case to get custody of your kids and stop the roller coaster ride. My heart goes out to you. Call a lawyer, or free legal aid or the county court and get some help quick. Also, if you have a way to reach her (cell phone, etc.) I would try and stay in constant contact with her...and kill her with kindness if you can possibly stomach it...as your best bet is to be able to have a handle on her (she doesn't sound too stable) and to try and find out where your kids are. Good luck and stay strong!

Umm yeah call the police it's called kidnapping even when it is a parent. If you are still legally married and she fled with your childern and you have no idea were they are you have every right to file a report. Also someone knows where they are you must have family or friends arounf your hometown...ALos in some states there is no such thing as a "seperation" perhaps this is different where you live and you have a legal seperation?? If so than parnetal custody and visitations should have been determined already..if not you legallly have teh right to seek your childern and have visitation...good luck!

Call your lawyer NOW! He has dealt with this problem before or has been trained in what to do. Your wife and you had a verbal agreement and she broke it! I'm not talking about marriage vows, I am talking about waiting till the kids are out of school. Now she is using this time to poison your children's minds with lies and exaggerations! Your kids will hate you very soon if you don't act NOW! Don't be nice any more! Go after her with intent to put her in jail!!!! I can't stress this more. Go and do it now!!!!

The rules selection drastically from place to place. no longer purely that, however the easy fact is that family members regulation isn't criminal regulation. family members regulation is civil regulation. on a similar time as many rules are nonetheless on the books, lots of them are no longer any greater enforced some have been ruled as unenforceable. In maximum situations, whether you win a case and get a conviction for abandonment, the penalty could be no worse than for a rushing cost ticket. for sure attorneys and courts do no longer desire to waste their time with such situations. Welcome to equality for women.

Get a good attorney and file for divorce for abandonment and try to get some way to get your kids. This is abandonment so yes i do feel you have legal grounds for divorce and to try to get some kind of visitation or rights to your kids.

File for a divorce asking for custody of your children if you can prove she is unfit and not stable chances are you can get them back in the meantime you need to go to family court and ask for a temporary custody order giving you temporary custody so she can't leave the state with your kids.

Document these things that she is doing. When it is time to come before a judge, you will have written proof. Not sure about the laws there in GA, but you do need a good lawyer. Good luck.

i think you need to get a lawyer and find out where the hell your kids are, because she can be arrested for taking those kids and having them out of school like that. they could be living on the street or sleeping in the car, anything could happen to them. you need to put out a missing report on them or tell the police i'm sure its many things you can do in that kind case. get you a lawyer and find out whats going on!!!

Get you lawyer fast, and he can probably get a court order stipulating where and how far she can take the children, due to her past history.
