They the republicans know what we the public want, but they still think they know best for everyone else. Basically, they don't care what we want, they care what they want. This really should'nt suprise you.

I can't believe Ruth's response. 1. Congressional approval is notoriously rated very low, unlike the presidential rating. 2. They've only been in power two weeks, hardly long enough to have impact. 3.They obviously HAVE taken a stand against the war 4. There were more than one reason we voted solidly AGAINST Bush, not just the war.

Perhaps because conservatives know to ignore the media telling us how bad Bush is. There is a quagmire in Iraq, but the Us economy has never been better. The strongest stock market, the trade deficit falling, record tax revenues coming in despite tax decreases, number living in poverty falling, middle class increasing, record number of student loans and grants issued by the government, record high DJIA with no end in sight, an 8.5 percent increase in the GDP.... and the list goes on.

This administration has been successful except for the war on Iraq that was authorized by a super-majority of both houses of Congress... they knew what we were going into, the CIA's NIE said what we'd be facing.

Bush's biggest mistake (even bigger than Iraq) was marginalizing and ignoring the media and pouncing on them when they started following his daughters around. It angered the media and they have joined forces to brainwash the population into disliking the President. If people cannot acknowledge the good he has done, such as the economy and appointing some of the best Supreme Court justices since O'Connor was appointed then they are as blind to the truth as you accuse us of for not hating him irrationally.

Bush's approval ratings are about the same as the current Congress' approval ratings.

Why do you think that is? I think it is because the new Congress was elected to reign in the pork barrel spending and deal with Iraq.

So far, Congress is just pushing social programs that will take out the middle class.

America wants MTV and American Idol. The Presidents job is to do what the country needs.

Americans are only superficially interested in politics or world relations. Our minds are on our day to day lives and the war is far from that as it should be. That the public will always and have always ignored every threat the country has ever faced right up to the point that it is almost too late is historical fact. Even a remedial look at history will prove that what I say is true.

Right wingers and left winger, middle of the roaders all want drastic improvement in Iraq. That's not happening. That's why Bush's approval rating is plummeting.

The extremest (left or right) have no clue what America wants, They see the world though their own warped lenses. And then they take the consensus issues and claim vindication of their veiwpoint.

Right wingers just know we don't want a President to have to check the polls before he takes a dump like Clinton did.

And you think that Libs know what we want? We do not want more taxes, we do not want vicious people spewing their hatred towards each other,(Nancy P's and Kennedy's crap towards the right.), we do not want more jobs and industry going overseas, we do not want more give away social programs, we do not want more illegals stealing the social services and jobs we already have, we do not want the news media tilting towards one party over another, we do not want to be told be we can not spank our children, (Libs in California.) , we do not want social security raped anymore. And you can not deny that your Libs have done all of this and more. We sure as hell did not Clinton giving Star wars tech to China, or super computers to China, OR allowing jobs to go to China. China is getting rich thanks to Clinton, and we are getting poorer as a result. Thanks a lot Bill. Does this help you to see what America wants? The damned Chinese are using OUR money to build weapons to kill us! Thanks to BILL CLINTON! And his wife running for president? We have all seen her hatred! Heaven help us all if she wins. I would rather see Jese Jackson as president, at least with him you know what he is! She talks through BOTH sodes of her mouth!

Polls depend upon the political leanings of the respondents. These "polls" are skewed as they ask leading questions to a majority of liberals.
