the advice is to get a new number and to cancel the old one . and you can trace the stores which have sold the items to the girl .. but she might buy the items online , so u don't have a physical stores and that is what most probably happened . and you should allow the bank which manage your credit card to handle such issue MAY BE IT CAN FIND A SOLUTION . and be careful later plz

I hope by stopping payment on your old credit card you didn't stop the check. That is not the appropriate way to go. You should have notified your bank immediately when you noticed the card was gone, even if it was for only 15 minutes. That is the ONLY way you can guarantee you're protected 100%. If you haven't already called the bank, do it NOW. Under these circumstances they might just take care of you on that charge. Either way you need a new account, which it sounds like you've already done since you're reffering to the OLD credit card.

Unfortunately, the banks don't care who used your card. I know that sounds extremely strange but it's true. It happened to us in the tune of $4000+ while on vacation. Most of it was for cell phone bills, which according to the bank is the biggest source of this kind of theft.

When we returned home there was a message on our voice mail indicating a mail order company wanted verification of an order we placed. Obviously, this wasn't our order but was placed by the person who stole our information. We contacted the bank and told them we knew the person was in Florida and could get the information for them. It wouldn't apply to the on-line order since it was never shipped but could help them find the people who used our number to pay all those cell phone bills. Would you believe they didn't care? They told us it's the merchants who lose, not them. In our case it was several cell phone providers.

Both of my CARDS are "Cyberized" and I am not responsible for Bogus Charges!

You CC agreement states that you Can Be held responsible for up to $50-Dollars! But usually they never charge you!

IMMEDIATELY Contact you Credit Card [CC] company and tell them THE CHARGES ARE NOT YOURS!

They will Usually Remove the Charges!

O Yes, ONE WORD OF WARNING? Weekly, I check My CC account = ON LINE = to see if there are Any Charges that I did not make!

When I was in London England in November, there was a charge, BUT the bank Did Not let it go through! Happens when one travels.

Thanks, RR

There are instructions on your bill as to how to go about notifying the credit card company of unathorized charges. Pick out the charges you disagree with and write them a letter. Credit card companies have fraud departments to handle things like this.

If your credit card was out of sight for 15 minutes, you should have notified your credit card company immediately. That way you wouldn't have been charged for unauthorized purchases. You won't be able to find out who she is, but you can find out what was purchased from the Visa center that issued your card.

Do you keep the receipts of all your credit card transactions? If you do, I would use them to figure out what charges were made by you and those that weren't. Then contact your credit card company and notify them of the problem.

Not your problem, IF you report it stolen,
and the day it was taken by that member
of the ID Theft gang, cut it up, and get the
replacement!

Next time you misplace your card, report it immediately.

Just report it to the card company as fraudulent charges and explain to them what happened. Then they can track it down.
