You definitely want to wear something very simple on top without any eye grabbing attention factors to it...as the skirt has that going for it already. I would also stay with something solid colored and that fits well so the entire outfit flows versus having the top and skirt compete against each other.

Well you don't want to end up looking like a circus clown by wearing too many colours, so if the skirt's already pink and green, then wear a black top with it.

A simple white or black top.
Maybe a very pale pink or green would work, if you can find the right shade.

simple white or black shirt that flares at the bottom just enough to lay nicely. A man's opinion!
