I'm a college student with a solid 3.9 GPA, and I'd really like to apply for this internship with a minor league baseball team near my hometown. The problem is, the website calls for seniors (I'm a junior) available from February-September (I'll only be available May- late August, when I'm home from school). Should I still apply? What should I say on my cover letter?

You might not get the internship because you are not available during the time period they need the intern. However, try calling them. Explain you are very interested in the internship and the organization and while you don't fit the requirements for the position, you are very interested in working for them. They might bend the rules or even find you another position. Also follow up with thank you letter to who ever you spoke with, and repeat how much you would like to work for the team.
