I have only had 5 violations and already i got the yahoo administrative notice threatening to terminate my account. So ya i guess its easy.

If someone reports you then your answer or question will be removed, and you will loose 10 points. Not sure how many violations you need to receive to be banned, I think it depends on how serious they are - e.g. threatening other users, and also how many you get within a certain period of time.

I got a violation because someone reported one of my answers as inappropriate. It was one about a victim of domestic violence which I referred to the USDOJ (US Department of Justice).
Someone apparently considered that I shouldn't have told the lady where to get help in her incredibly serious predicament. Good thing that she saw my answer before it was removed, and was able to contact me and I got her the help she needed.
I did contact Yahoo about their decision to consider my answer inappropriate, and I still have the e-mail of the lady thanking me for sending her the help she needed. I never got any points for the question, even when the issue was solved in my favor. But I am not here for the points, I am here to learn from everyone, and help when someone needs help.

usually its will be deleted when someone actually reported you.
then 10 points will be deducted
i have received lots of violation email .. not sure how many you need to have untill they will close yr account
