What is better, sunrise or sunset, how and why?

it's for a debate, so i will appreciate either way, however i am fighting for sunrise. so sunrise points would help me.

I have seen bith really beautiful, so I cant choose. Senset was beautiful while Iwas in the desert, and sunrise was beautiful while I was on ship, so it really depends on the person, or where you live

I say sunrise, and this is why:

1. Normally, I sleep too late to even come NEAR seeing a sunrise. So a sunrise is kind of like an accomplishment for, like something I don't normally do, but then i see it and it's pretty and I'm glad I woke up early (or, more often, stayed up through the night)
2. The only times I see a sunrise are when i'm coming home from a vacation, and I take the red-eye, and just as I'm coming out of the gate there's the sunrise, and the air is all cold and the sun is bright and pretty.

i don't really think there is one that is better or worse, between a sunrise and a sunset, it just depends on opinion.

Sunrises are peaceful - the world is usually very quiet before dawn, then when the Sun comes up the day-time animals wake up, like the birds and such, but most people are still asleep.

Personally, I prefer sunsets because I'm not a morning person!

Watching a sunrise or a sunset over the ocean is very beautiful, so depending which coast you live near, that could sway your argument (I live on the east coast, so I can only see the Sun rise over the ocean - but watching the Sun set over the Pacific Ocean was on my Must See list when I visited California a few years back).

well, i try not too look at either of them my mum says if you look at the sun it will make you blind.LOL!

If I had to chose I would say the sunset, only because my late hubby and I used to go to the lake and go fishin in the lates of the evening and watch the sun go down together.
didn't know it at the time, but those were the best times I have ever had in my life, or maybe ever will.

I do look forward to the sunrise, only because i know it's a new day, one that I make the way I choose to .
full of possibilities, responsibilities and hopefully memories.

the beautiful pictures I have taken of the sun going down with us as the 'black shadows' against the reds, oranges, and pinks of the sun going down. the sun on the water is gorgeous.Sit and picture it in your mind......calming.

I hope that you get the answers that make for a great debate. but something like a sunrise/ sunset is a hard one.

Well i thought for the longest time that the sunset was the best,but when i had to change jobs a few years ago, and the only shift i was willing to take between 2nd and 3rd ,was 3rd.well i didn`t like or could not get used to work from 10:00pm to 6:00am in two years,but i have seen the most beautifill sunrises.one that impressed me the most was,that the skies shaddows cast streams onto the skyline that reminded me of the crown of the statue of liberty draped accross the sky.the points of the crown streched out all over the skyline with the most brillieant chades of colors from a dark blue to the brightest red and yellow background.it was just emazing.

I like sunsets, because there are always alot of different colors in the sky at that time. It's just beautiful. Also, I'm usually still asleep when the sun is coming up.lol

Well this is easy. The best is sunset because thats when the vampires come out. If you dont watch out theyll kill you- be good!!
