That is not a meter item. It comes out of the flat rate book. Call any taxi company or ask a driver the next time you are in a cab. If a ride from Rt128 NW towns to Logan is $45 now then between Wrentham on Rt495 and central Boston is much worse.

I live in the area. What you should do is take the commuter rail from South Station to the Norfolk stop (This is on the Franklin line). A round trip ticket will cost you about $10. Then take a cab to the Outlet mall. This will be in the neighborhood of $10. Granted this will take a little more traveling but it's a whole lot cheaper.

Oh my, I bet it would be a lot! Wrentham takes about 45 minutes by car. . . .I don't even know if every taxi company would take you that far. I'd call ahead, and see what they say. . . It would be a lot.

I'd say $75-$100. As the other posters said, try public transportation.

You could go to http://www.maps.yahoo.com and get driving distances. I think it would be pricy and probably cheaper to take the subway (tube) as far as you can and then catch a cab from there. The money you save could be used shopping.
A link to the subway site is below.
