I work there!
I use the cupcake mask lots, I have oily skin, and it works really well, but lots of people also say, like a poster above, that it is quite drying on their skin. People choose it just cos they love the smell, and then wonder why it doesn't work if it doesn't suit their skin type. The coalface face soap works similarly. We do get training, so if in doubt, ask for advice from a member of staff. I use the hair moisturiser with a japanese name. It is fabulous. My hair is long and coloured and I can actually put a come straight through my hair now, whereas previously it has been so matted it'l take me ages to comb. It only has a 3 month shelf life though, as it has fresh eggs in it- so don't skimp. ~I have also used and enjoyed the strokes intensive conditioner.
Incidently most of body shops original products were designed by Lush, they were a collaboration for a long time, until Lush bought themselves out, and now the body shop has been bought by L'oreal who also have stakes in Nestle- so if it's that side of the shopping you are interested in you are better off with Lush.
Most of Lush fragrances are made from the purest essential oils on the high street ( take that with a pinch of salt- I only know that from Lush training), and always at levels that won't harm anyone with any condition e.g heart probs, pregnancy, it is more to do with Lush not over using packaging that causes the smell to be intense, rather than an overuse of artificial perfumes.

my friend uses a lot of their products and loves them, personally i cant stand the stuff, the smell is far too overpowering, all the perfume in their products cant be good for anyones skin. i can smell a lush shop from 50 yards even if its round a corner, body swerve to the bodyshop lol

yup! the chocolate cupcake mask? it's quite drying, so only use it if you have oily skin, if you have dry skin, it won't do you much good, but it smells so delicious, you just wanna eat it.. i've tried the caca(?) i think thats how its spelt.. and its so good for your hair, makes it really nice and soft and shiny, but it can colour your hair, it was fine for me as i have black hair. not too sure on the hair moisturisers! have fun!

Sorry, I have to agree with Virt...the smell is too strong.
I was in there once and the assistant got me to try some hand cream.
When I left, I had to go and find somewhere to wash my hands, the smell was so overpowering!

Lush? As in the cosmetics store? I've never been there, so I wouldn't know. I like the name of it already, though. (:
