I know that this usually indiates that there's a bulb burned out, but I replaced it already. Thought it may be the flasher modulator but the right signal operates normally. Any ideas?

recheck to make sure you changed all burned out bulbs. do the side markers flash with the turn signals? are there more than 1 bulb flashing in the front or rear? lights are symetrical right side to left side.

Check your bulbs, if it is the left and not both sides the fuse and flasher signal are working. If you have a bulb in front or back that is burned out it will cause the blinker on the inside to stay steady. That is the most common problem. The bulb you replaced may not be in correctly. Also check to make shur the bulb you put in is the right type.

Make sure the panel and the bulb you put in is put back in correctly. Any slight off centering will mess up the system. Also check the fuse and the actual switch. Depending on the type and year of the car, even the slightest off kilter of parts will send out all kinds of messages. I.E.- If you leave the gas cap off or not put on properly, it will give you a check engine message. If you have a Dodge, they have onboard diagnostic computer check systems. Go to allpar.com to get the codes. If you need to see if your car has a check system do a keyword search.
