I have heard many different reasons. Like not enough viewers or ratings or or whatever the others were. Any help would be great thanks :).

Not living up to the expectations the network had for its rating is the only reason any show gets cancelled. Ever.
I mean, Jessica Alba was cute and all, but the show's humorless tone and depressing subject matter made it unwatchable after just a few episodes.
Compare the show to "Buffy" which had a cute/strong female lead, very dark storylines, and yet managed to have a sense of humor and even make fun of itself sometimes. It lasted 6 seasons, had a successful spinoff and had other networks imitating it.

c'mon.... was dark angel set up against buffy? they drew the same crowd and buffy had better ratings, then they move the show to a later time slot and say that there wasnt enough people watching it, ofcourse that gonna happen when you put it on late at night, no the same amount of people will be able to watch and yes i am now ranting!!!
