Remembering when I was seventeen, I would have said the ideal Valentine's present for a 17-year old boy would have been... a 17-year old girl! Seriously, I guess you would be looking at, say, MP3 players, if he doesn't have one, or a similar techi gizmo. But for romance, you just can't beat a wonderful dinner for two at the nicest restaurant you can afford. Go see the staff first, tell them the occasion, set up any special food he may like, make sure you tip for special treatment - there's no difficulty, for example, in ensuring that when you walk in, the manager greets you and your friend by name, personally shows you to your table - and so on. Let them know you want very special treatment - a decent restaurant will always be happy to oblige. It will make your friend feel very special. And much more memorable than an MP3! Have a lovely day!

Try something hes into (sports, music, eating, hanging out, movies, etc) Then give him a gift that pertains to that. If it is your boyfriend you could add a sweet little touch (like a romantic dinner then hand him the gift) Honestly though time alone is enough. I love just being with my husband we don't have to have gifts or go to restaurants. Anytime I'm able to have him all to myself is amazing. (Another great gift would be a picture of the two of you in a frame that you personally decorated to be valentiney and sweet) Now if the boy is a son or family member give him something cool he'll appreciate. (a booklet of coupons to get out of chores, a gift card for his favorite store, etc)
