The song is in the Simpsons episode when Grandpa falls in love with Marge's mom. It's right at the end when the credits start and the lyrics are like "Hello Grandpa my old friend, your busy day is at it's end" Kind of dark. Anyone know it?

It's "The Sounds of Silence" by Simon and Garfunkel... the scene was a parody of Mike Nichols' "The Graduate" which featured a soundtrack by Simon and Garfunkel, including "The Sounds of Silence," "Scarsboro Fair," and "Mrs. Robinson."

I didn't see that Simpsons episode, but I believe the song you're trying to think of is Terry Jacks' "Seasons in the Sun."

See if this looks or sounds familiar: http://users.cis.net/sammy/seasons.htm

i don't recall that episode, but it sounds like Terry Jack's "season's in the sun" - it is not Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel - but that is another great tune.

Season's in the sun is very dark, it's about a man who is dying and he is saying goodbye to his family and friends, recounting their lives and adventures.
