Travel: Travelling from place A to place B.
Tourism: Holidays (long vacations and short breaks). Use your imagination here. Some people stay in their own country while others go abroad.

Some tourists like to sit on beaches, others prefer to look at history or wildlife, while others like to climb mountains or hike over hills. Some prefer to visit places where there is a good range of food/drink relevant to the area while others like to go somewhere where it's all much the same as home except that the weather is better.
Tourism looks at visits to different types of places, the economics and politics of tourism as well as other issues such a conservation vs. damage to places that are popular, the geography, climate of places, effects of buildings such as massive hotels, bars, food outlets, health issues..... Again, use your imagination.

It's a vocational course, where (I guess) you learn about how to be a good tour guide, give statistics about countries, discuss their culture and other things
