As long as your flash drive is big enough to hold all of your music, you're safe. Sometimes when you do a system restore on your computer, all of your files are erased, sometimes its not. If your flash drive is not large enough, you can always back your songs up on a cd, it can be either CD-R or CD-RW. It doesn't really make a difference. You can always rip the songs from the cd using windows media player.

I think you can, but also when you sign in...i'm not sure, but i think your songs are stored on itune's server, so when you sign it your songs will appear. If you have a Mac, then you can export your songs onto a hard drive, if you have a PC, then you can't export, but you can import.
