No one's ever said it. They have shown it though by up and leaving and finding another girl. I don't know what would have hurt worse if he actually said it to me or the fact that he didn't tell me and left me to find out myself. I was very upset and cried. It feels like your heart has been ripped out of your chest and shattered into a million pieces.

My Wife of 23 years told me that. It hurts like hell. I felt like all my hopes and dreams were dashed. You feel lost and confused. It's taken quite a few years to get over it.

I am sure at some point it has happened. I can't recall any one time right now but saying "I don't love you any more" is not the worst thing to have happen.

No.
Never happened. Unfortunately.
He just neglected me so badly that I had to understand those words without hearing them.
I would prefer that he had enough guts to spit them out.
I would cry, but I think it would be easier to get over, than it was.
When those words have not been said, when felt and you have to ask yourself over and over what is wrong.
If one has enough guts to say ILY and to accept those words (and that is not easy as well), than that one should have enough guts to tell you that it is over.

Well, no. I would rather them say "I don't love you any more" because not only would that make actual sense, it would make me realize that I was friends with someone that had some intellect.

No I haven't heard that. I mean I have been through my share of break ups but they were all mutually agreed on.

No one has ever told me that....and my reaction would depend on who that comment came from...if it was someone in my family i would probably be upset. if it was just any other person i really wouldnt care.
