I grew up in the hood where the only way to come up was to hustle or play basketball. Nobody respected a school boy.

So I been hustlin since I was 13 and now I'm 25 and I made a lot of money, but I know legal money last longer, so I know I gotta get outa the game and become legit.

I have a couple of felonies on my record.

What kind of job can I get with that? Should I go to school??

It seems hopeless cause when you have a record nobody will hire you and pay you good. I been makin about 8000 a month so my girl and my daughter is used to a high lifestyle.

If I get some job and only bring home 3000 a month I cant support them. I'm trying to do the right thing now but it seems the system is not set up for that.

Anybody know where I can go and talk to somebody about gettin a legit job that pays at least 6000 a month that will hire somebody like me? I'm smart and I can learn anything, I just came up wrong.

You can support your girl and daughter on $3000; you or your girl just aren't will to change your high lifestyle. Your girl can get a job too.

Getting a job that pay $72,000 per year (6000x12) without a college degree, with a criminal record and not legit work history I imagine...I don't know of any thing you can do. Your odds will improve with a college degree but how will you pay for it...unless you have the money already.

I worked in Iraq last year and am planning to return this year. You can make over $8000 month tax free working there. Of course I was lucky and survived 2 rocket attacks, 7 IEDs that hit my convoys and I stopped counting the mortars that landed near by after #35.

Both your felonies might still keep you from getting hired for work over there and you might not be able toget a passport.

By the way....$6000 / month is about twice the average national income for a family of 3. You have your work cut out foryou.

Well congrats to you for wanting to get out the game. I grew up around hustlers and the end of a hustlers life is either in jail or dead. I am really happy you want a better life for yourself and your family. First you need to talk to your girlfriend if she is really down for you she will stick with you if not let her roll she is there for the money. Get yourself together. Start a community college get a job as a manager in a food place, garden store something kinda corny where they could trust you because with a felony it is pretty hard but don't let it stop you. Next tell the girl friend get her stuff in order. Get a job and go to school for her. I suggest you go into business. I believe you would do very well at that you already now supply and demand that's all that business is. That's what my husband and I are doing. Make your own money on your terms. Holla Back, Good Luck and Many Blessings...

Well-- This question sounds fake, but in case it's not, I'll answer it.

You will not find a 6000 job at the age of 25--sorry buddy. You need to go to college, get a Bachelors degree, and then go to Graduate school, and get an MBA, and work your way up from there.

Good Luck!

start a course, even if its just something like computers or what not you can earn a fair bit of money for something like that and with good qualifications employers are more likely to overlook some old criminal records. if asked, be honest and just say you're making amends.

or get your own business, thats where the money is anyway, even gardening firms make lots of money and don't need any qualifications to set up.

getting something like a degree or certification would be smart to counteract against your felony charges...regardless, you're gonna have to prove yourself wherever you go first...you got busted and you can't blame someone for being suspicious of you...donate some money to a charity, help the local church...you need some good references and should become that person
