Caste-ism is not only racism or socialism. It's a combination of the two. The lowest cast, The Untouchables, comprises mostly of the darkest colour of skin. It doesn't matter if they are men or women. Usually the paler the skin colour the higher up in the cast system you are. It becomes socialism because it is virtually impossible to enter into a higher cast. In Hinduism it is believed that when you die you will be reincarnated into a higher form of life which means you are born over and over again until you reach the highest cast which is the Brahman who ar of the fairest skin colour (men or women). If you have been a bad person you will be reborn into a lower form of life. On the rare occasion some people have managed to marry into a higher cast but I'm not certain if they move into a higher cast or the partner is moved into a lower cast. Marriages virtually always take place in the same cast of people. The different casts do not inter mingle with one another.

NO, it jolly well is not. The confusion is as both racism and casteism are forms of discrimination.

Even the world racism conference rejected including casteism as some people from India do. The caste system in India is inimical to itself and based on religion (a sub of religion) just as if a handicapped person was refused a particular job, it cannot be called racism but discrimination.

However if one were to be rejected due to their religious belief, sexual orientation, belonging to a certian state etc that would be racism. We can go on and on.

Maybe not racism, it defiantly is robbing a woman of her right to have a normal sex life.
