First I think: Why KFC? What about Popeye's or Church's? Is KFC the only restaurant that serves chicken?
Second I think: What did Pam Anderson get paid to be the spokesperson? I don't see any news where she is actively engaging in the fight against animal cruelty.
Third I think: Did PETA actually show what really happens during the processing of chickens to help feed the world? Or did they just pick out the absolute worst situations of their so-called investigation and show that.
Fourth I think: This is all rubbish. These chickens were farmed for one purpose only. To be dinner on someone's table. These chickens were not raised to be pets. Take a look at the animal kingdom, predators & their prey can be pretty cruel. And if it wasn't and didn't happen then what would happen to the animal kingdom? Many would not exist today.
Although some of the video has truth to it, it is not 100% factual in all that it states. Having grown up in a rural area where many people raised chickens & turkeys for a living, knowing that the fowl would be food. The collection of these birds is not usually performed in the manner shown in the video. Where did they get this from? Some 3rd world country? Also, having worked in a chicken processing plant; I know for a fact that what the video shows is again not 100% accurate. The birds are not dumped off a truck like it shows (unless again this is from a 3rd world country). Trucks arrive with the birds in cages for transport to the plant. The doors are opened on the coops and people grab them and do hang them upside down by their legs on a conveyor. The next step is that their necks are slit and the head of the bird is pulled off. Therefore how can the bird be alive before the next step of dipping in boiling water? Which is done so that the feathers are removed more easily. There are a number of steps that go into the processing of the bird before it reaches the market. And USDA inspectors (at least in the USA) are constantly monitoring this process in order to provide the highest quality to market.
Don't get me wrong, I abhor animal cruelty. But I don't see this as animal cruelty. This is a process to feed the people of the world. Animal cruelty is intentionally being cruel to an animal for the purpose of being mean.

This goes on because people still think "It is just a chicken" who cares. Which is to bad. But what people fail to realize the it is just a chicken comments falls over to all other animals.

As an animal control officer I was told several times "It is just a dog"

Yes that was horrible. Another fact people fail to notice is the things they are pumping into those chickens to make them better. So what ever that is it is going into us from them. Maybe some of the It's just a chicken people will think about that?

I think that there are some that really dont care about the quality of life of other people or animals. They just werent raised to respect God's Creations.

Animal or not, it is still a living, breathing creation.

Why dont we first stop the horrible treament that women and children still experience in many third world countries (and some wealthy countries), then worry about things like this?
