Music does have this effect, yes, but I can't even point out one particular song or emotion. It sort of takes you by surprise every time it happens: in the street, in a cafe, in the radio. The feeling comes first, washing over you and only then you realise what brought it on ... its the same with smells.

Hot Fun In The Summer Time by Sly and the Family Stone
It reminds me of a time in High School (yes I'm that old) that we were having a wonderful time. We really had no stress and not a care in the world except being together and having fun with our friends.

It may sound really dumb but I have to say the song "Im telling you Im not going" which Jennifer Hudson and Jennifer Holliday sang in DreamGirls. I was like practically crying durring when Jennifer Hudson sang it in the middle of DreamGirls. I clapped after she sang it. It tells you that love is truly a great thing and when some one changes it, it can hurt you.

This is really sad, but it's Jesse's Girl by Rick Springfield. I bought the 45 the day I graduated high school. Now graduation day and that song are intertwined in my mind.

I got to 1st, 2nd and 3rd base with a girl one night in my room, and I was listening to "Trainspotting" all tracks... now whenever I hear a Trainspotting song, like "Underworld Born Slippy" the night all comes back to me, quite overwealming actually the images and feelings it stirs up. Sometimes I get a bit excited...

As corny as it may sound, Stairway to Heaven. That song has a direct link to a very dramatic event in my life and reminds me of something very amazing that came out of it.
