I know theres different factors that would change these numbers, but does anyone know the approximate gasmileage that this engine (355) with an alderbrock 650 4 barrel carburetor would get? It is in a 1980 Monte Carlo. Also what type of gasoline would be needed Reg. Plus, Premium?

Depends on the transmission / rear end combination. It will likely fall between 13-18 mpg. Type of gas will be determined by compression. If you are using stock style pistons I would break it in on plus then try reg.

There are a ton of factors to consider in this, but with conservative gears (and a light foot), you could get anywhere between 12-20 mpg.

it all depends on how much you open up the four barrell, rear end ratio. other than that maybe 13 to 15. Id burn regular gas, my 75 chevy truck has a 350 and it runs fine on regular.
