Unless it is opened prematurely by a judge's order for a specific purpose, it will remained sealed for however long the original judge ordered it sealed. After that time it may be vieved.

The longest it can remain sealed is the original Statute of Limitations on the crime.
Only the "Sealing Judge" can unseal it.

They (we) will keep it active for as long as we can.
