it's a 98 blazer, it's starts for a second then shuts off. There's fuel, full charge on the battery. Everything looks good, execpt for the light.

If you have a double sided key ? then security module malfunction . If you have a chip time to reprogram unit at the dealer .If your battery went dead or you changed the battery with out supplying power to trucks ecm chnaces are you wiped memory clean.. Petey

Click your doorlocks open and closed. turn the ignition to on for about 15 minutes. turn it off. Then try to start it, it should start. good luck! Look in the owner's manual, there is a 800 number you can call, they will assist also.

You have a problem with your anti-theft system. Most likely it is just a glitch, but it will need to be reset with a computer at the dealer.

If you have a coded key, this will need to be reset as well!

This anti-theft system is called pass-lock .the sensor is built into the key cyl hsg. the key has nothing to do with your problem.more than likely the complete cyl and hsg will have to be replaced to correct problem.

are you using the key with the transponder or for that fact the correct key
