Hello.
The United Nations (UN) is playing an unsatisfactory role today. It almost seems like a redundant body. Since its inception, after the second world war, the UN has not been able to stop a single war. The cold war stand off, the Vietnam war & more recently the wars in Iraq and Afganistan were all evitable.
Thank you

U.N.is playing a role in maintaining world peace but not very effectively. It actually works under pressure of five super powers who has the power of veto. The examples are inspite of sending inspectors in Iraq & finding no MWD the U.N.couldnot stop America to send the forces their. U.N.couldnot prevented the invasion of Afaganistan by USSR & resultant American interference & birth of Al kiada. With india & pakistan The U.Nations is not able to control the pak terrirism. Just few dayss back When iserile attacked on ?libea U.N.couldnot stop it. So it is not very effective in bringing peace to world in my opinion.

The UN gives more freedom to dictators than those dictators give their own people. How can you possibly maintain peace anywhere when dictators are treated respectfully.
