A) Look at the product
B) Look at how much profit the seller makes from P&P
C) Consider the final sale price if it's up for auction rather than Buy It Now
D) Ask the seller as many questions as possible to help you get a better picture of quality
E) Read seller feedback

I have had good and bad experiences. I can't comment any more unless I know what it is you're buying.

Yes, I have bought several items for 1p.....they've all been second-hand book from amazon's marketplace sellers and the quality has been just as described. Of course the postage is about £2.75 but still, if it's a book you've been searching for, then a total cost of £2.76 isn't too bad, I say!

I'd recommend that you check the rating of anyone who's selling stuff before you buy. Only buy from someone with plenty of postives and few, if any, negatives.

The monitor I am using at the moment came from a company selling on ebay, The auction ended and I had the highest bid of £1.00 the next highest bid was 5p so I only had to pay 6p (P&P cost me £15) I have had no problems at all with the monitor so I would say if you can get something for 1p then go for it you have nothing to lose.

If you bid and win the item for 1p , you will find that the postage charge ids probably about £10, more than enough to cover their costs !!!!

ive bought a few things for 1p with free postage on ebay and the service was excellent. on the other hand once i bid on som,e items with 0 feedback and they were new to ebay and they were con asrtists (didnt get conned cos i figured it was a con) so my advice would be to look at their feedback, if they have 0 or negative, dont bid or buy

hiya, alot of items start at 1p or £1 but most of the time bidding takes them up to be alot higher or if you look closely you will see that the postage is really high :0)

Provided the seller has good feedback 95% positive or higher, and the cost of postage is sensible and still makes the product a bargain then should be OK

No, but after all they are only 1p....just watch out for how much the P&P costs.

A seller will list an item for a very low price so he does not have to pay Ebay a high final value fee, he will then make his money on a jacked up postal charge.
