Just smile sweetly and remind him of the innocents in the vicinity.

Been there done that. All I did was get the other leaders to take the troop away and address the problem with the so called gentleman. Tell him these children are your responsibility and you don't really want them going home having just learned a few new words. Chances are, he'll understand and apologize. He was a puppy once to.

you can try to tell him in a friendly manner" i don't mean to be offensive but i would appreciate if you didn't use that kind of language in front of the girls." being a girl scout alumni, i feel the mission of the girl scouts is the guide girls into becoming mature, responsible and respectful young ladies, and if someone is being disrespectful around them, then you should let them know that the girls and yourself don't aprreciate it.

say hey...
we have a brownine group here, and we thought your language was very disrespectful, can you tone it done and switch up your words, so the brownie troop doent hear such words and speak like you.

I would nicely ask him not to use the foul language in front of the children.

Please don't swear in front of the young ladies or they will think it's ok to talk like that. And I would tell him where the girls can't hear so he's not embarrassed or offended.

I would quietly, ask him to watch his language. If he didn't choose to, I would ask him to leave. He should have respect for little children.
