I'm taking it that you mean just any woman and not someone you are interested in as more than a friend?
Well, diamonds, flowers or any of that stuff is obviously out of the question.
I'd say a gift card to Starbucks or Bath and Body Works might be nice. Put it in a card telling her what a good friend you consider her to be and that you hope she had a good day.

Assume that you mean, someone that does not like romance, or that you are not romantic with. Well, you have left out some vital information.
What does she like?
Try listening to her when she talks about things she would like to do, or something she is needing, or would like to have.
When you leave out the romantic gifts -- the ideas will need to come from you and what you know about her.

women are sensitive. Give her something that touches her heart. Make it simple yet thoughtful. The little things is what matters. Some times something as little as a picture of someone special to her will make her cry tears of happiness. Think about her when you buy.....or build. Good Luck!!!!

I suggest that you give her this "Spun Glass G/p Glass Slipper"
http://www.eaglepresents.com/cgi/luminous_visions/31439.php
It portrays the story of cinderella and the prince who was looking for the perfect match for the lost shoe.
She should feel very special if you get her this.

Just give her a card, a chocolate, or a bouquet of flowers. If you tend to give her something that is more precious, she may have the idea that you have feelings for her

someone you like, but not romantically....some good chocolate would be nice, or flowers (not roses) Perhaps a certificate to a movie she has been wanting to see, lunch out with you, of course, or perhaps a book, if she likes to read.
Just think what you know about her, and go from there.
