The trees act like a big sponge and soak up the water before it runs into the creeks, rivers, and water tables. The also stop land from being washed into the water like a water filter. So they keep chopping down our water filters and shipping them out to sea to a Chinese ship and they process the wood send us back the laminated crap, and take the good wood elsewhere. Who needs a war, they are getting our resources as we argue about social issues. Then they sell us bottled water. You got to keep them separated. United States 50/50.

Forestation prevents erosion and thus increases plant growth which holds the soil so plants can grow and produce oxygen. More oxygen in the atmosphere helps prevent global warming and diffuses pollution. Deforestation is a big problem in the rainforest for instance. Farmers are chopping down trees for firewood and also to plant for food. The changes can actually be seen by satellite so much forest has been removed and changes in oxygen level and concurrent warming of the atmosphere are present. Forestation is vital to animal life and also forces native people from their homes.
