im a foreinger in a country and i think ive got on very well with everybody . i have a great job, decent salary and no problems with a language. Every since i came to the country i noticed all men have been fine with me, weve hung out together but ive met only one woman who didnt mind my nationality so far. As far as i know im a good looking lad and i can see women looking at me quite often. When im at a party, in a club or a pub theres a number of women approaching me or trying to make me notice them but as soon as we start talking and they can hear im a foreigner they show theirs contempt even though theyd showed their interest before. ive never met this kind of behaviour from men. why is that?

Racism is common in both genders and I think you're being unfair accusing women of being more racist than men. If you are encountering problems it could you are being punished for every foreigner that lives in this country. I for one am a Scot living in England and I have encountered racism also.
There are so many horror stories of "the passport" and "the baby stealer's" and we all feel for the individuals that have lost love, independence, children and money and this just makes is more aware and scared of becoming involved.
The whole family situation could be daunting too, white women are not always made welcome in a mixed relationship
You won't get it from men as they only look as far as to who's round it is next, not long term as women do.....

This is a really good question, but its not that women are being racist, well, maybe in a sense. I, infact will admit sometimes I am guilty of this. It doesnt boil down to the fact that I dont like them because they are from a different country. I cant put my finger on why women do this, except to say that we have heard so many horror stories about men just wanting women for their passports etc and the fact that women who partner with men from other countries are seen as ''passport bait''. This is a pride thing for women. My current boyfriend comes from a different part of England than I do, and I get looked down on and I've even heard people say ''couldnt she get a man from Birmingham?'' ''She had to go and get one somewhere else'' sniggering about it. You cant tell me this is racism as we come from the same ethnic background, just different parts of the same country. I would think twice before using the ''racist'' word, because sometimes it boils down to the fact that you may not understand another culture too. Think about it. Men treat you the same because you are not a potential partner to them.

Sorry that you feel that way but I dont think it is right that women are more racist than men. I think it is a matter of preference. You mentioned meeting these women at a party, club or pub. Unless they were 'buy-me-drinkie' girls, you should understand that they probably prefer locals. I wish you all the best!

As a Hispanic living in the U.S., I've noticed that myself. White American women are generally cold and unapproachable when compared to the men. I've noticed the difference when I go to clubs/bars frequented by whites, as opposed to places frequented by my own people -- and I speak perfect English.
I think what it is is that since unconsciously, women (regardless of race) seek out successful, stable partners who can support them --- white women don't expect this from a guy who looks or sounds foreign (even if the foreign guy in question happens to be successful and stable). That's my theory.

Sex attraction is the beginning of the illusion summarized in the phrase aham mameti: "I am my body, and everything in relationship with my body is mine." A man searches after a woman, and a woman searches after a man, and when they unite for sex the material illusion becomes very strong. This is nature's arrangement for keeping the conditioned soul under her stringent laws.

The whole material world is based on the attraction between male and female. This principle is working not only in human society, but among the birds, beasts, aquatics, insects- everywhere. You will find that as soon as a male dog sees a female dog, the male immediately begins canvassing: "Please come, let us unite."

Therefore, in human society one has to understand by Vedic knowledge, by education, that we are bound up within this material world due to sex attraction. Unless one inquires into the Absolute Truth, a human being is no better than an animal.

i dont think all women do this. heres one reason it might happen. maybe some of the women are looking for something serious in the long run, they dont want to deal with any difference in culture or somthing. I dont know. but you shouldnt think all women are like that.

Are you sure it's not what you say that offends them? I mean you're not trying to chat up blokes and they're ok with you? You get the picture? Women are no more racist that men, but most of us are allergic to idiots trying to chat us up?
