well, it beats getting shot or knifed in our sleep, when the other person finds out we have been tending the heard. First of all show me in the last 10,000 years a culture where a man is playing the heard--- why in some cultures you are allowed to have more than one wife, you only have sex and children with the first two--the other wives are for joining families together for alliances. So unless you are joining families together to fight off an attack , resolving a tribal or kingdom power struggle--then your just fooling yourself--or trying to fool the women around you.

Monogamy is absolutely unnatural for the human species. Infidelity is such a huge problem because monogamy is an unrealistic situation for us. Men especially. Societal rules on relationships and marriage need to be loosened if the institution will survive at all. If monogame were really a healthy situation, the divorce rate wouldn't be at 60 percent. We're fooling ourselves. There is a better way out there.

No, it is not. Monogamous relationships offer men a variety of benefits including security, bonding, love, acceptance, friendship and family. Many studies have shown that men in long term monogamous relationships are healthier and live longer than those who are not. In terms of the biology. Yes, in terms of our biological nature we are in fact animals, and monogamy is rare in the animal kingdom. However as humans we consider ourselves to be "civilized". Rather than living in accordance to our biological instincts we make choices and decisions about how to live. In some societies polygamy is more prevalent. But even in those societies there is a benefit to the social contract of polygamy. For example in an agricultural culture having a larger family can lead to greater wealth. However, polygamy is not cheating. It is an agreement between people to maintain a certain type of family unit. Even in those culture, the members of the family benefit from the stable family unit, just as they do in our culture in monogamous relationships. Unfortunately there are many dysfunctional and abusive people in our society who feel entitled to have whatever they want, even if it means making an agreement with someone to be monogamous, and then using lies and manipulation to keep them in a false relationship based on that agreement, while they go out and sleep with whoever they want. This is simply abuse. Abusers will use any rationalization for their behavior, including saying that that's just the way men are, and that because they are a guy they can't be expected to live up to that standard. Nonsense. You are either a person of integrity, or you are a liar and a cheater.

then your wife should be sleeping with 5 or 6 men not that she wants to but she is geared to raise children and all men are trying to sleep with as many women as they can then she may have 10 or 12 trying to get with her but that is normal and should be accepted

Monogamy is healthy for men (at least for my husband) because if he were to cheat he would find himself in a cardboard box on a street corner in the rain (or worse). Street people don't have very long life spans!
Seriously, it is a scientific fact that married men live longer than single men. They take better care of their health, are statistically happier, and are less stressed. Wives are good for men, some of you just aren't smart enough to realize it. ;-)

Just remember that a LACK of monogamy can be far more unhealthy. All diseases aside, your wife will beat the crap out of you, & turn you over to her lawyer. Talk about risk factors ! =oO

You were not. Man is meant to have 1 wife! It is healthy. Unhealthy would be to sleep around and catch some disease and pass it on to your wife and the unborn children your wife may have.

YOU'RE A PIG! I bet you aren't all that and you have it all wrong! Men are geared this way to have something to hold, so you won't get lonely and women are geared this way because men can't handle that job correctly either, so it is left up to the women. So there. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
