In theory, artificial gravity can be created on space stations by having a large wheeled living center, rotating around the central mass.

The spinning of this giant wheel, through use of centrifugal force, would keep the space colonists secure to the inner - outside rim. Think of it like this..., put a bucket of water on a rope, and when you start swinging it around and around (gradually) the accelerate it faster and faster - the water stays in the bucket.

I don't do techno babble but this gives you a good idea of how artificial gravity is achieved. And health wise, its not as good as the real thing by the way.

the centrifugal force answer has the only practical merit as of this time.

the in practical would be to substitute a mass that provides gravity..sort of like a large enough body that can provide gravity.

one scientific fiction story suggested a small part of a dwarf star..a large amount of mass squeezed into a small space. the only true problem is how you'd get something like it with getting smashed down to a pancake, or even if you could...actually moving it along.

Magnetic Pull in a oxygen atmosphere. Except out in space on another planet you would need a little extra pull help, so you would have Magnetic type sole shoes that boost what that planets
Magnitational pull lacks.( Making up the Difference ) Inside a pressure air tight realm or inner city.
