I'm a Liverpool fan, but I have to say that Man U are the better side, but they do have the money to buy top quality players, which Liverpool don't have just at the moment. Give a couple years after the Dubhai lot have put some funding into the club and maybe/hopefully the table will turn.
There again Man U don't have Stevie G, perhaps that makes Liverpool the better side already :-)

The person who asks this question has no clue...
Because if this person wasn't dense he/she would realize that asking such a question is completely in vain. Pool fans well say Pool, Man Utd fans well say Man Utd. A question like this simply allows people to use one word (or two) answers with no justifiication for their viewpoint.
Simply saying that United are top doesn't justify anything. Tottenham and Everton are 8th and 9th respectively, that doesn't mean that they are the 8th and 9th best teams in the Premireship.
It is a tiresome question. Man Utd fans well bring up that they are about to win the league this year and Pool fans well inevitably go back to the age old tactic of 'we won in 5 times'.

Im a liverpool fan but that doesn't mean i BLINDLY support my Club.Manchester United is a way better club.
Because-
1.They have Fergie,a very experienced manager
2.Their strikers are better than our Peter "Crotch"
3.Their defense/mid/forwards,all are strong and flexible.
4.More star players
