Yes because the impression which is being given is that Indian society is not racist when this is very far from the truth. See how you get along in Indian if you are from a lower caste or dark skinned. In fact Shilpa's own mother said in a Saturday newspaper that her daughter was not very good looking when she was younger "because she was darker skinned than her sister"... How is that for hypocrisy!!!
One final point it is funny how the British public has been outraged by the "racist" remarks made by Jade yet on this website to call an ethnic minority something much worst is perfectly acceptable by British people. The only reason that British people objected so publicly was that their racism was out their in its full glory for all to see and reflected badly on them. Those very same objectors will probably go onto this same website and post racist questions because this website is not as well known worldwide!

not in the slightest, hopefully the very tool that has lavished her with the trapping of celebritydom will take those things away. She is after all not a celebrity, she is little more than a moron with an entrepreneurial brain.
This may even bolster her bank balance, remember column inches are column inches, it is all exposure. How long do you think it'll be before she is in heat, exposed and the such telling us all that she has seen the errors of her ways and how she will now try and single handedly stop racism.
btw, it was not racism. It was a group of three girls with limited intelligence and success feeling threatened by someone genuinely articulated, hard working and successful. I would call it jealousy or at a push xenophobia.

I definitely disagree with the racist slurs she made, and her prejudiced views. However, I do feel sorry for her to a certain extent, because sometimes what the media portrays may not be absolute fact. Could those producing the show be banking on such controversy to attract more viewership? Well, I don't know but I hope not.
I guess, generally, I do feel a little sorry for her, but afterall, she did choose this path. She chose her own actions and words, so she just has to accept the consequences.

Why so much controversy over nothing we people from the subcontinent are used to bullying by the Britishers since they ruled over the subcontinent for so many years now media has made it possible for the people around the world what they actually are. In Jade you see 90% of the Britishers

Yes. Some bizarre collective kind of madness has taken hold of us. The night before all this non-issue started ,on the same channel, muslim preachers of hate were calling for our destruction in mosques up and down the country. Stupidly we are flaying the skin of our backs for what the use of the word "poppadom". Islamofascist must be laughing their head off at our foolishness.

Absolutely not.
A horrible, ignorant, self-opinionated nobody who has succeeded in bringing the whole of Britain into disrepute because of her imbecilic rantings.
Her interview with the News of the World looked to be pre-manufactured and surely convinced no-one.
She should crawl back into the hole she came out of.

Never in a million years. The fact that she's been found out over having her 'perfume' made cheaply in India does nothing to increase my liking for her, and the worst that the media can do to her, the better! Loud mouthed cow !

I don't like to see anyone upset but I felt more sorry for Shilpa. There was no need for her to be treated so badly. Bullying is not acceptable and this girl is supposed to be an adult - she has children of her own. I don't think she'll be very popular any more but its all her own fault......

No not at all. Why should we. Is it not ironic that the show that made her, and gave her everything, will probably result in her losing everything.
She should have never gone in there, cos she has shown that not only is she not very bright, but she is also an ignorant racist
