Some soap operas are like the life that they are living or part of them is a reminder of past.
Others must be mad because unknown to these who watch soaps how much of them affect there lives and what i mean copy.
I beleive soaps can be dangerous as violents can and then we ask why there is so much crime.

It's an escape from reality. Plus their fun. Once you get involved with a storyline you need to keep watching to see what happens and meanwhile something else happens and then you need to follow that. It's neverending.
I don't think it's sad at all. No worse than watching the so-called reality shows that are really boring.

Because they don't have Sky tv. They have never watched South Park or Dog the Bounty Hunter, or anything good. Or they value fictional family conversation on tv more than their own lives.

It is sad try to branch out in the real world , those rubbish programs are consuming focusing on the primeval side of human nature , with no relevance to the reality of life

because it takes away from the boredom of our real lifes for a short while, also i find it nice to just sit down and chill out for a few hours in the evening, and what better way to do it,than sit in front of the telly with a nice cup of tea

its the time in your day when you are drawn away form your own "life drama" ...
its a time to relax and enjoy the "tragedies of life" as they are not happening to you...
a time in you are looking forward to the whole day...

because its an on going continuous story. you have to tune in the next day and the next day to See whats going to happen.
