I've been a Peyton manning fan since he was a freshman at Tennessee. But I gotta say that if he goes out today and throws 3 interceptions and blows this chance I'm going to write him off once and for all as a guy that truly can't win the big 'un.

Calm down, calm down! Manning, Dungy and the Colts are having a MUCH better playoff season that almost anybody expected at the end of the season. They have played the Pats much better the past couple of years, their defence is clicking at exactly the right time, they are at home and they are the better team (or at least they would be if Belichick didn't show up.....)

Personally, for the record, I've put the rent money down on BOTH Peytons today, we'll soon see...............

I'm not sure if he will choke, but I think the Colts will lose today. The pressure of all the blown opportunities of past years and the Patriots on the other side of the ball will be too much for the Colts again. Belichick will find a way to stop the Colts offense from putting many points on the board. That would be the big surprise if the Colts scored over 20 today. If they do, you have to like their chances. If Manning and the Colts get behind early in this game, I think it could go very badly for them. The Patriots have the "killer-instinct" and execute flawlessly in pressure situations. It always stuns me how workman-like the Patriots are when they have an opportunity to take the game over. Manning is a great QB and deserves the recognition he has received for the monster stats. Many QBs would have loved to have Harrison and Wayne to throw to these past several seasons. Indy has those two and other excellent possession-type receivers Manning can throw to. You can't be considered the best until you have beaten the best. Indy has another opportunity today at home like they did last year against the Steelers. Perhaps the result today will be different for the Colts. My feeling is the Patriots find a way to win, and the Colts find a way to lose.

Remember, Peytons success depends on the team..if he gets protection and his receivers get open, he'll be okay.I think this game will be decided in the first half, possibly the first quarter.
If the colts are successful at that point, they'll probably win, but if they are playing catch-up, forget it.
Peton has been around about 8 years or so?? John Elway couldn't win the big game until the last two years of his career,so maybe this isn't Peytons year. I still think its too early to write him off.

Yes Peyton Manning threw the INT that cost us the game, but hes not the only reason why we lost the football game. Te saints were the better team they deserve to be SB champs. Now, Manning is still the best QB in the league, however he just got beat by a smart CB named Tracy Porter. Everyone here is calling Manning a choker, he didnt cost us the game by himself, our defense was pathetic in the second half. First of all where was Robert Mathis, he didnt do anything to help us at all. Secondly, give credit to the Saints Receivers, namely Marques Colston, for finding easy open room. The Colts defense didnt care about playing man to man, and soft defense against a pro QB like Drew Brees is asking for a loss. And pats fan from Indy, dont u dare call every single colts fan arrogant cause some of them are knuckleheads because of some idiot colts fans. Im a Colts fan and im sick and tired of all the excuses that came out of their mouths. and u dont have a right to talk most patriot fans always whine and give too much credit to Brady.

No. Playing at home with a energized defense will take a lot of pressure off of Peyton. He will make enough plays to take them to victory. The key to this game is the running game being effective enough to keep them out of obvious passing situations. I look for Addai to have a big game. I think it will be a great game.

Manning is a great qb, but he can't beat the pats alone. He won't get the chance to win. One of Brady's smartest moves, if winning is the number one goal, was to not take so much of the Pat's salary cap, allowing them to build a better team.

I think he will. I say the Pats will demolish the Colts and Peyton will throw 4 INTs.
