It seems their thirst for power outwieghs their thirst for what is best for America.

BERT, devisive fear mongering and whining are going on in both sides right and left. Though you may get alot of thumbs down your thought can be disputed. Actually it opens for good debate.

Maybe if we had 1st second snf third choices when voting in elections instead of having to choose just one person and thats it. A more moderate and faithful representation of the people could be seen in our government. Thus making it difficult for the far right or the far left to run the majority of political thought amongst us as Americans whom are mostly moderates.

You bet. When you have people like Mullah Omar stating that Americans should vote for Democrats and the sheeple falling into line to do just that, of course they are.

Nope. It is through freedom we learn ALL sides of an argument, not just the side those in power WANT us to hear.

You cannot "exploit" partisan politics. You can exploit the feelings of fear one political party might be feeling. A really brave thing to do, and so, probably impossible for the ones it affects the worst) is to STOP HATING AND FEELING AFRAID. Try being the open, honest American you know you CAN be, instead of the devisive, fear mongering whiner all any of us ever see in Yahoo Answers; atart working for everyone's benefit, instead of just your own. Start caring about the world you're leaving your kids and their kids; Start pressuring your government to stop subsidizing oil companies with tax dollars, and put pressure on them to develop new ways to store the massive amounts of energy we can produce, all without one drop of Mid East oil.

Do THESE things, then you're doing something to help, instead of asking questions you don't really want answers to. See how many "Thumbs Down"s I'll get, even though no one will be able to dispute what I actually wrote.

Why of course it is. Just last week along with the usual assortment of people coming to my door to introduce me to God, there were also a few with the extremist handbook of terror. I asked them why are you at my house and they said because you are registered Independent and wasn't I angry about how the two party system was screwing up America. Where does this stuff come from? History has shown us those same people always think America is weak because we are capitalists who only care about ourselves and not the good of our society. Do you really think they have some kind of board of directors of terror who hold monthly meetings figuring out their strategy for destruction? They don't even have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of and people are worried about them showing up in their back yards, get real already. It's nothing but scare tactics. Who on here has ever been up close and personal with a terrorist, besides the ones in our own government?

*"we've Christians. and that they do now no longer consistently settle for as genuine with one yet yet another on particular tenets of religion"* yet they're assume to! it somewhat is the terrific concept. that's the reason they argue between themselves because of the fact they're ALL assume to stick to each and each be conscious in that indoctrination bible to the letter. interior the experience that they do no longer then they are not somewhat (interior the experience of the be conscious), a truthfully *Christian*. it somewhat is the section which you ignored. Partisan politics is indicative of diversity of thought in America. To want to somehow magically eliminate partisanship(while so impossible only the uninformed would want to see it go) is to want to somehow magically elimante free and diverse thought.
Bipartisanship is another step in the devolution from Republic representative government to a socialist democracy, and should be avoided at all costs, seeing that the reults are typically unconstitutional freak-bills that are rammed through by both parties. (Patriot act, Mcain-Feingold act, Mcain-Kennedy bill.)
If you truly feel diverse thought is somehow a weak link in the USA, then the USA is in some deep shi t. Welcome to 1984, comrade.

No not nearly as much as they are by Lobbies such as AIPAC. (American Israel political action committee.) This particular lobby group arranged tours to Israel in 2003 for 10% of the house of reps in a period of just 4 weeks. Hows that for political exploitation. The fault is not with the lobby,s but with the politicians who Prostitute themselves.

I think it is the mainstream politics who are being exploited by terrorists/extremists. My Late grandmother used to tell me that she understood so from a conversation with a Muslim electrician worker (of course not all Muslims are fanatic, but he seemed to be).

Our weakest link is the politicians that make up the parties, not the parties themselves

The terrorists see us as weak and undecided,no will to win.
Our spineless politicians, tuck tail and make speeches, threathen to cut off money, supplies and material to our troops.
This is bad for our troops morale and good for the terrorists.
Bin Ladens ghost is smiling.
