Since we spent billions of dollars searching for WMD's of debateable existance (some of which were found), should we now spend billions of dollars into Global Warming research, a 'theory' of which is highly debatable among scientists, many of whom consider to be junk science?

At the time, Congresswoman Pelosi and her comrades thought there were WMD's:

"Saddam Hussein certainly has chemical and biological weapons. There's no question about that."

So called global warming has been so politicized by Al Gore and others for their own agrandizement that it has become a joke.

So Bush and the CIA mislead *everyone* into thinking there were WMDs.

Global Warming is absolutely undeniable. It is not in the least "highly debatable among scientists, many of whom consider to be junk science." Maybe that was true in the 1970s. Today the argument is over whether or not or how much of global warming has been caused by humans and how much is a natural phenomenon.

Global warming is all about politics.
When Gore said 'the debate is over'
At that point is where I got off the bus.

We know zip about global weather patterns.
We have at best 300 years of data.
They can't predict the weathe tomorrow better than 60% accuracy and we are to believe they know what is going to happen in 50 years without a shadow of doubt.

Remember holes in the holes in the ozone. The world response was to ban freon who make a killing was the big companies who provided the alternatives.
So we found out that the holes in the ozone have be cycling for years with or without us.

Last year was suppose to be the hurricans that end all hurrican seasons. The result nothing.

Science has told us that eggs were bad than good than bad than good.
Wine good than bad than good than bad than good.
That list goes on.

Causes of global warming:
air pollution
too little air pollution
smokers
cows farting
farming the land for the last 2000 years
sun activity
volanic activity

So I am now to believe that science is 100% sure we are the cause of global warming.

I want to see better evidence than the voodoo that is going on in the polictical world before I start believing we are in trouble.

As to Iraq and WMDs: WHICH ones were found? Even Bush admitted there weren't any. Let's see some documentation.
As to Global Warming: we already know what needs to be done -
Which of these " scientists" are debating it? What are their credentials? How many of them work for petro chemical companies or conservative think tanks? No, my friend, Global Warming is real. We need to be making serious changes in our energy policies and industries now. As it is the American pattern of consumption and energy use is not sustainable.
Like it or not we are faced with serious consequences.

It is all a political game. I am sure that man has not helped reduce global warming. I am also sure that Volcano's produce more harmful emissions than man. We don't need to research global warming, we need to invest more in alternative fuels. As far as the political jargon from democrats and republicans. This again is only political. It is all about stepping on the throat of George Bush and has nothing to do with protecting our country .

You make a political statement, and not a question. Your point I happen to agree with......but it seems there is no resonable person in charge of your government. Not that the republicans acted reasonable either. Hey look at the border.....the President and republicans as well as all the Democratic are all giving away the county. Its all going down the toilet. Hold your nose as we all are forced to learn spanish and we sink to the level of a Mexican peasant.

The democrats, the republicans and the various special interest groups like the environmental terrorists are not interested in the truth, they are not interested in protecting the planet and they are not interested in your well being. They are interested in power and will use every means to gain it. They really don't care who suffers for their gain.

I most pity the poor, gullible saps that are sucked into those games and really believe in it.

I prefer to call it "global scamming". Al Gore is lining his pockets, with books, seminars, appearances. He's hanging his future career on this nonsense. Let's wait about 100 or so years and then look back and laugh.
