To clarify another answer, select Ctrl + A, then Ctrl + C with the pdf document open.

Then open a blank Word document and do Ctrl + V.

The text will be transferred, but nothing else and you'll probably find your formatting is shot to pieces, but it sorta works.

Only text can be copied into word (with the T tool, as mentioned before by someone) and then edited. If you want to edit the actual content of a PDF beyond that point, you'll need Adobe Acrobat.

If the security on the pdf is on you cant but try using the "T" text tool and copying all the text into a blank word document. then edit as you see fit.

I had this problem too. I ended up having to buy the software that allows you to unlock and edit pdf files. There is a lot of choice on the internet.

hi...get rid of your 'adobe' program...and go to this site and download the 'reader' from here, after you have loaded this prog then go to the updates and then download the other two progs called 'editor' and 'creator'...this then means to will be able to use 'all' the fields for pdf files....and they are all 'FREE'.
