I've heard that there is an exact number of days between you and your true polar opposite...?

I can't remember the exact time frame..it was either 182.5 days or 183 days... I've heard this person with the exact number of days between your birthdays is your "true soul mate". Has anybody heard of this and is it true?

Yes, I have heard this. It refers to the pseudo-science of astrology. According to astrologers, you're attracted to, or you compliment, your opposite. And that opposite is supposedly the Sun sign opposite yours, which, by no coincidence, is indeed approximately 182.5 days away from your birthdate (half the year).

As far as it being true depends on if you believe in astrology or not, or free will for that matter. Most people, it seems, believe more in free will.

It can also be a difficult position to be in, or what's considered an "opposition". For example, Aries and Libra are considered the compliment or opposite of each other (aries/april/spring - libra/october/fall). Aries provides the unbridled energy while Libra harmony calms the angry Aries. They balance each other out. But they can be at odds too, with Aries always wanting to be combative and Libra always wanting to be harmonious. That's when they probably want to be away from each other for awhile.

The phrase "true soul mate" can also mean just true compatibility and may or may not have anything to do with astrology.

so try it yourself, determine your sun sign and its opposite and then find out whose birthday is your "soul mate" sign. You might find it hard to believe in astrology or this 182 day theory after you find out who is supposed to be your true soul mate, but it's fun to speculate. I guess this is where free will comes in to play.

If one believes in soul mates then one believes that different souls in different incarnations meet up throughout eternity. These incarnations might be different sexes.
