is there a way to block out the white border and watch full screen?

No, that's how it is hon. But u can enlarge it and takes up the whole screen.

Yes I do but unfortunately you can't beacause the quality is like that already when it is uploaded. You are able to watch some stuff full screen by double clicking the screen but not all of them.

You can view it (almost) full screen by opening the video in a new tab (in Firefox) or a new window (in Internet Explorer). The only thing that you lose by doing this viable quality.
