I need a reference, and I have only three choices:
- 0.25
- 0.45
- 0.65

You do not specify what jewels. It makes a difference whether you are talking diamonds and other facited gems or saphires and other rounded polished gems.
The reference says that for diamonds "rarely is less that 50% lost" so your answer C. would be the closest match.
