If you're a Filipino that has grown up here in America, like I have, the physical characteristics are different. For my family and friends, the male ones, our heights range from 5'6" to 6'2" , me being 5'8". The Pinays I know, though, still represent the old-world Filipina in height. Skin color ranges from whiter than white-people to dark chocolate. Eyelid shape ranges from chinky to wide open. Hair color is definitely black or brown. Straight to afro. Some have freckles, most don't. Stocky is the build but if you're like my far cousins, they have lanky build types.
You gotta remember that the Philippines is like the America of Asia. During the past several thousand years, the Philippines has incorporated plenty of genetic stock from other sources into our "Philippine diaspora" so don't be surprised if you see me and my friends walking around sayin' we're all Filipino but you reject the notion based on your prejudices.
