When I hear kasha i think of the food, so maybe Kara or Kayla instead.

I think it is pretty. It reminds me of a character in an Anne Rice book though. Akasha from Queen of the damned.

I would think so, as according to behindthename.com, it's POSSIBLY a variant of my own name. Haha. :)

I'd think it was a pretty name even if I had no personal connection to it. :)

sure but it's also the name of a cereal, kind of acooked buckwheat called kashi- sounds too similar
