how to fix troubled internet?

i generally use internet for videos and myspace,recently within 5 min. of browsing it will freeze.why?using yahoo dsl high speed.

dont know how to check the ram,my computer is a mess mostly because i dont know how to maintain one,only had it a year.

The problem might not be with the internet, it cud be with the computer itself. did u make sure it is running good b4 u connect it to the net? check ur RAM speed.
