Also, If I were to politely ask the lady behind the counter to place the money in a bag for me, with out implying threatening behaviour. and reassuring her I am not armed or dangerous .
If she were to put the money in the bag, have I still committed a crime ?

I suppose if you had a bloody good legal team, then maybe they could argue a damm good case. Especially in the UK, although I am not sure about the stockings ?

-in a uk court maybe a barrister would compare your offence to that of a beggar stopping someone in the street to ask for change. Although the beggar may have only asked you for money, it would depend on how you interpreted his request.
Has he asked you in an intimidating manner, implying a threat if you do not give him a cigerrete or 5 quid to get a starbucks coffee.

It could be argued then; that you entered the bank as you had no money. You had no luck asking people on the street so, being aware of the fact that the bank has lots of money, you entered there to ask if they could spare you some. If the cashier gave you the money without questioning you about your bank account etc, then maybe she is at fault.....

Obviously you have to be very careful how you ask, if you already have a criminal record then you are stuffed.

As to whether it would work, then I really would ask a barrister, it would be alot of fun for them to argue the case in court. Although to think of such a thin!!!!!!!! and I also took the time to answer, what is the world coming to ?

As long as you politely ask the lady behind the counter to place all the money in your bag, you are not breaking any law, and as for the stocking over your head, this is the latest fashion. By the way, some banks offer coffee and cookies to persons wearing a stocking over their head before filling their bags with money. Could you please take me with you on your next visit to a bank, I'll gladly hold the money bag for you?

I think that's an interesting question.

However, if she put money that was not yours in a bag and gave it to you AND YOU WALKED OUT WITH IT I think you would have committed a crime.

You have asked (albeit politely) for her to do something wrong. Despite your protestations of being unarmed and not dangerous, I think she could make the reasonable assumption that you are mentally imbalanced and comply with your request because she felt threatened.

If you said thank you and gave the bag back, I don't think that would be a crime, although a highly unusual stunt. The poor cashier may feel very unhappy with you.

If you walked out with the money bag, that would be stealing and therefore wrong.

Hmmm interesting one.
Not illegal to wear stockings on head, but probably against the bank's own rules. They do not have to let you in if you break their rules.
Asking for cash in a non-threatening way without filling in the necessary paperwork is highly unlikely to get anything. If successful you would be breaking various banking regulations even if it was your own money and if it's anyone else's money then you would be committing theft or fraud.

Remember that if the person on the counter feels that a threat is implied then there is a huge problem. If they thought it was a joke or a drill then you wouldn't get in trouble as long as you return the cash.

Anyway, like the others said, this is a really great and quick way of going to jail. Best of Luck!!!

Yes,you would probably be apprehended as soon as you walk into the bank for behaving in such a suspicous way, security measures in banks are very tight these days and I advise you to grow up and act like an adult. You must have the ability to earn your own living, have confidence in yourself and aim for a new career programme that suits your abilities and gifts have faith in yourself.Try a course within your work area.

This reminds me of a scene in the show Coupling. For all the ladies out there that may not understand, we blokes like the look of a lady in stockings. They are nice. They look nice. It is fun to take them off. It is fun to watch her take them off. They give a gal a reason to wear a garter belt, which we guys also like. Comment on how nice you think her legs look. Heck, even shell out for the laser treatment for hair removal. If there is no reason for her not to wear them she would probably wear them more. Especially if she had some nice new ones eh?

I believe that it is a felony to enter a bank intentionally disguised...
Asking for money without producing any instrument (check, bank account info i.e. checking or savings account) is in fact theft.
And when you are incarcerated, don't tell your fellow inmates that actually are hardened criminals about wearing panty hose (stockings)... they will in all probability demand from that point on...You wear a dress....And dance with all the Real Criminals!

Wearing the stocking over your head would only be illegal if your wife was still wearing it, you are still playing monopoly when you say this , did not know there was a bank in the monopoly game.
