Hey there :o)
My sisters are aged 9 and 10, & regularly use the internet. They mainly visit things like Childrens' television sites (such as the CBBC site, & the Cartoon Network site etc) as well as games sites like Neopets and Bubblegumfanclub. I certainly don't have a problem with that, but recently they've also started doing a lot of interent searching, particularly for information on looking after animals and hatching eggs, since they both have an avid interest in nature. I'm a bit worried about what's gonna come up if they search 'baby chicks' or suchlike - I know there's a lot of porn and otherwise unsuitable content for kids on the internet, & yeah, sure, great for some, congrats to them, but I don't want my sisters seeing it!
They use two computers, either mine or my dads, but my parents don't seem to care so much! I was wondering what free safe-search engines or internet nannies or something I can install on my computer, that will help combat unsuitable material?x
