i was looking at maps of florida and then i relised that hollywood was their? i thought it was in california, the other side of america? whats going on where is it?

Actually there is a Hollywood, FL and a Hollywood, CA...so back off people. My goodness we are quick to call people idiots aren't we?? Now who's the idiot?

Hollywood has been a city in Florida for many years. That is not where the movies are made though. There is a Hollywood California as well. There are duplicate (or more) city names all over the country (i.e., Las Vegas Nevada and Las Vegas New Mexico to name one). Nothing is going on...it's perfectly normal.

There is a THE Hollywood in California (movie stars etc), but there is also a Hollywood Florida.
