My best friend is due in April & she wants to give her daughter-to-be the name Layla.... what do you think the chances are that she will be made fun of?

Layla is pretty and I imagine she'll get thru to jr hi without anyone calling her lay. Then the boys will come up with she's a good lay. Wanna LAY her? etc.

The name Layla is very nice. The chances of the girl getting teased are about the same as if her name is Julie, Mary, Stacie, or any other name. The amount of teasing one gets depends on the personalities of the kids involved. No name is immune to it. Some names do atract more attention,but I don't think Layla is one of them.

My daughter has a girl in her preschool named Layla and the first time I heard it I thought White trash but now I think it's kind of cute. At least she won't be the only one.
