I just don't see how one marriage could mutilate someone else's marriage. If someone I hated became a dancer it does not mean my dancing career is suddenly destroyed. My life does not suddenly become cheap when other people chose to make some of the same decisions I've made. If you are Wiccan and I began to practice Wicca in a non traditional sense would you freak out and feel I've totally destroyed it for you?

Gay marriage takes nothing away from a straight marriage. It only gives gay people something they have been denied because it's different from the old and outdated traditional ways.

I don't understand what's the big deal, gay matrimony isn't good for our society, period. The institution of matrimony was done with the purpose to stabilize the family, which is the nucleus of our society. Since years we have been instructed the family is father, mother and their children, not father, father nor mother, mother and their children. How come that many things of our society have been corrupted by homosexuality as religion and many others since centuries ago and now, Will we permit them the corruption of the matrimony? The answer as soon they ask for that right suppose to be NO! Without any discussion. The gay people as the lesbians can do with their lives and their bodies whatever they want, but not with the rest of the society, they have to learn how to respect things that weren't done for them, as the matrimony, be gay or lesbian has consequences and no matrimony among you, the gays and lesbians, is one of them. We can't permit so. Matrimony has a function, preserve society and morality, we can't loose both of them, morality is already low in this days.

How is allowing two people to marry mutilating someone else's marriage? If the two gay people up the street getting married will impact or cheapen or destroy/mutilate/whatever your marriage - you need to work on YOUR marriage, not ban theirs.

You do realize many of the same arguments used against gay marriage today were used in the South to argue against legalizing interracial marriage back in the '50's, don't you? How sad is that?
