Hi,
I am Canadian and I just have to wonder about this after seeing An Inconvenient Truth... Does America really want to be the superpower of the world (which is where Bush seems to be leading them..) meanwhile Al seems to be trying 2 save the world. bush on the other hand is sending more people back... Whats up with that??? Anyway if anyone hasn't seen this movie I urge people 2. Canada is very much in favor of cleaning up our world. Lets hope enough of the rest of the world is 2.

Embarassing as it may be--many Americans were fooled by a highly organized sect of the Nation into voting for our current Resident in Chief. Our Gov't went on a crusade after Vietnam to totally keep the majority in the dark in regards to the elite's political agenda and this current group of morons have been continuing the practice at an escalated level--We let it happen.

Our Gov't is a puppet entity for the Business elite and they have taken on the role of downplaying and misinforming and outright denying the American public in all respects towards the truth about Global Warming.

The current efforts to debunk Global Warming are entertained by a suspicious group of persons at best that stand to maintain monetary gains if the seriousness of the problem is not addressed. They censor scholarly reports. The business lobby draws up our pollution and enforcement policies. They've gutted our Environmental agencies and staffed them with cronies. Their closing research facilities and the libraries that researchers use to make their case. Hopefully the current administration and all of it's members will be voted out in 08'--It's a damn shame that it took a Natural Disaster on our soil to make folks aware of the problem of Global Warming and the incompetence of our elected officials.

Gore is a "fruit cake"...and a self-serving one at that. If he truly believes the stuff he puts out, why does he refuse to appear with anyone from the scientific community that disagrees with his global warming stand? Refusing to discuss alternate ideas is one of two things: fear because you know you are wrong OR close-minded idealogue who can't allow anyone to express an alternative idea.

I'm certainly happy that Canada is in favor of cleaning up the world...who wouldn't be? The question is how to go about it. Being in favor of something makes one feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but that doesn't get the job done. Tossing money at the problem without a viable solution is just wasting money and has the potential of inadvertently hurting someone (or something) along the way.

Most of the world is sick of Bush. Al Gore simply lost (as a result of out electoral college vote) 6 years ago.
Don't get too excited about Gore's book/movie. Credible scientists call it junk science and insist that the global warming is not anthropogenic. Skillful ecological scare-mongering. Never in history have scientists accurately predicted what will happen 100 years later. Many scientists sceptical of global warming are retired professors: they have no need to chase research grants, etc.
Oh yeah, and climate measuring models vary about 400%, so they're all but irrelevant.

If you like facts based on falsehoods and political bashing, then sure the movie is great.

Look in to who you are talking about, look in to Gore’s education and background; he does not have a degree in environmental sciences.

The movie also fails to mention the planet earth is responsible for the vast majority of green house gasses. Do some research on volcanic gasses and activity you will find the largest producer of Carbon monoxide is produced by a volcano in the Congo. The air produced is more toxic than all the air that the US has ever produced. The volcano even causes localized acid rain.

The earth is a living thing, it gets cold, and it gets hot. Nature has its part in the ebb and flow of what happens on the planet.

Millions of years ago the earth was much hotter, and much wetter, yet life survived.

The earth has had countless ice ages and yet life goes on.

Life is not going to end on earth (at least not because of global warming), the earth will keep doing its bit and every one can actually worry about important thing that we can control.

Personally it was a toss up on who to vote for. Each came with some serious baggage. Global warming is a serious issue and one that needs to be dealt with. Bush certainly is not for saving the environment. Gore said too much that damaged his credibility. And then we have the electoral college system here of counting votes so that one person can receive more votes by the people and yet not be president. It goes on and on. . .

Gore as stated did win the election by popular vote so saying most of the USA wants Bush in my eyes is inaccurate. Personally, feel as for you question about America wanting to be a "superpower" it is more along the lines of Bush creating his own agenda and moving the USA where he wants it to go, which is not always the will of the American People.( well at least me, that is)

What makes you think most of U.S.A. wants Bush? He didn't win the election...Gore did. Bush is a criminal. Gore is a hero. And because you capitalize the name canada but not U.S.A. (see how do you like it?) does that mean you don't like us? We individuals no matter what country are responsible for cleaning up the world. Lets work together!

No America does not want to be the superpower of the World, Bush does and he's out in 23 months.
Al Gore lost by or bc of a rigged voting machines. Same thing in '04! It's a World tragedy that the World has to endure America's fraudulent election results.
It's also too bad that Global Warming will affect Canada first perhaps, bc of the fragile tenuous nature of your wildlife in Northern latitudes. Like the vanishing Polar Bear and Perma-frost
